Overview

Part-Time Staff Accountant, Month-End Close (QuickBooks Online, Remote)

This part-time role supports small business clients across coastal Georgia, with a Savannah area preferred. The position is remote and scheduled for 20 to 30 hours a week.

Compensation: $28 to $30 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cash-basis closes for an assigned book of established clients
  • Bank and card reconciliations
  • Shopify and Square tie-outs
  • Payroll reconciliations
  • Sales tax filings
• Reconcile and verify figures by tying results back to source records before marking items complete
• Identify issues during the close process and resolve them, providing recommendations when problems are found

Requirements

• Degree in accounting, or equivalent experience
• Multi-client month-end close experience in QuickBooks Online
• Experience reconciling by tying to the source before calling work complete
• Ability to troubleshoot and bring recommendations, not just questions

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Shopify and Square tie-outs
• Experience with payroll reconciliations and sales tax filings
