Overview

A Strategic Finance Manager role is available focusing on General & Administrative (G&A) Operating Expenses (OpEx). This position partners closely with corporate functions including People, Finance, Legal, and Tax to lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management. The role operates in a fast-paced environment where financial insights directly influence how G&A leaders prioritize and allocate resources.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary finance partner to G&A cost center owners, driving end-to-end financial planning, forecasting, and performance management with an emphasis on accountability and business outcomes.
  • Own the monthly and quarterly Actuals vs Forecast (AvF) process for G&A OpEx; provide timely variance analysis and executive-level commentary linking financial results to operational drivers and informing forecast adjustments.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecast cycles for G&A, collaborating cross-functionally to align headcount plans, vendor spend, and discretionary budgets with company priorities.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic financial models and dashboards to support scenario planning and investment trade-off analysis; utilize AI tools to automate data workflows and accelerate insight generation.
  • Partner with the Accounting team on month-end close activities to ensure accuracy of G&A actuals through timely accruals, reclassifications, and variance analysis.
  • Navigate ambiguity effectively by establishing structure where needed, challenging existing processes, and adapting quickly to shifting organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Strategic/Corporate Finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role within a high-growth public technology company.
  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills with proven experience supporting data-driven decision-making at the executive level.
  • Strong communication skills with experience preparing and presenting executive-ready materials to VP and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work cross-functionally, and deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in FP&A, Corporate or Strategic Finance, consulting, equity research, or data science/analytics.
  • Background in consumer marketplace or SaaS businesses.
  • Experience working in a public company environment.
  • Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance workflows, efficiency, and insights.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Highly competitive compensation based on permanent work location.
  • Base pay ranges for U.S. candidates:
    • California, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey: $176,000—$185,500 USD
    • Washington: $168,000—$177,500 USD
    • Oregon, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Hawaii: $161,000—$170,000 USD
    • All other states: $147,000—$155,000 USD
  • Eligibility for new hire equity grants and annual refresh grants.
  • Remote work flexibility with a flexible approach to work location.

Location

This is a remote position with compensation dependent on the candidate’s permanent work location within the United States.
