Customer Support Accountant | $34/hr Remote
Overview
This role is for a QuickBooks Online (QBO) and omnichannel support expert to provide chat-based assistance to small and medium-sized business (SMB) owners. The position is a remote contractor role based in the US, offering $34 per hour for an 8-week commitment at 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 4 hours overlapping Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Responsibilities
- Deliver omnichannel chat support to SMB owners.
- Respond to general inquiries and complex, data-intensive accounting questions.
- Provide bookkeeping and financial guidance using QuickBooks Online.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to offer accurate, actionable advice.
- Complete PowerPoint-based or structured tasks as assigned.
- Uphold strict standards of data privacy, compliance, and client confidentiality.
Requirements
- Active user of QuickBooks Online.
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Prior experience providing omnichannel chat support.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and data analysis.
- Ability to manage complex, data-driven accounting queries.
- Experience working with SMB clients is preferred.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week with at least 4 hours overlapping PST.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an SMB business owner with hands-on accounting knowledge.
- Previous role as a finance or accounting expert.
- Comfortable handling high-volume, data-heavy queries.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Hourly rate: $34
