Overview

The organization is seeking a Director of O2C Product Design with AI Innovation to help drive an agentic AI transformation within its Finance Technology organization. This role focuses on designing and delivering enhancements across Order-to-Cash (O2C)—including invoicing, collections, and cash-application decisioning—autonomously rather than relying only on fixed rules.

This is a subject-matter, design-authority role with direct exposure to senior Finance Technology leadership and responsibility for ensuring AI/integration initiatives are properly designed for business value and enterprise robustness before build.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end O2C product strategy and design leadership from concept through launch and iteration, grounding decisions in measurable business benefit.
  • Direct the design, modification, and evaluation of O2C solutions across the portfolio, including billing, accounts receivable, and third-party integrations.
  • Own design authority before delivery, signing off on AI and integration initiatives prior to build.
  • Partner with Product Owners and Product Support to balance current-state support with forward-looking design work.
  • Build and maintain a performance framework to provide visibility into design quality, process efficiency, and business value delivered.
  • Present strategic roadmaps and investment cases to Finance Technology leadership and the O2C Steering Committee.
  • Guide design of core O2C enhancements including contract asset handling, credit note automation, and client onboarding—minimizing post-deployment defects.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to streamline billing and contract processes through digitization and automation design, including agentic AI capabilities.
  • Ensure designs support financial close, month-end reporting, and revenue assurance requirements across 60+ countries.
  • Maintain compliance with regional regulatory requirements and internal controls; design solutions that preserve appropriate financial controls and audit trails.
  • Research, propose, and validate GenAI use cases across O2C (e.g., intelligent cash application, proactive collections optimization, automated dispute resolution, working-capital forecasting) with feasibility assessments on internal data/AI platform, validated with Engineering.
  • Build ROI-based business cases for GenAI and automation initiatives with Finance operations partners, demonstrating measurable impact (e.g., DSO, dispute resolution time, working capital).
  • Make and defend build-vs-buy recommendations for AI and automation tooling, including vendor selection input, platform integration guidance, and total cost of ownership.
  • Extend agentic workflow design across integration touchpoints (including invoicing and remittance automation with third-party systems such as payment gateways, banks, treasury platforms, and CRM systems) from concept to production.
  • Present AI and automation recommendations with a prioritized roadmap to Finance Technology leadership.
  • Partner with Enterprise Data & AI teams to assess technical feasibility and ensure alignment with enterprise AI governance standards.
  • Apply audit and compliance principles (including SOX) to billing and revenue-related workflows.
  • Maintain design documentation to meet audit and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in monthly O2C Steering Committee and quarterly CFT Portfolio Review governance forums.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience with a major ERP finance platform supporting Order-to-Cash operations, with strong preference for PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.
  • Deep functional expertise across the O2C lifecycle: contracts, billing, accounts receivable, credit management, collections, cash application, including experience delivering change with tangible benefits.
  • Strong understanding of financial close, month-end reporting, and revenue assurance processes in a global, multi-entity environment.
  • Experience contributing to at least one global ERP rollout or large-scale finance transformation program.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior finance and technology stakeholders.
  • Proven experience scoping, validating, and deploying AI/ML or automation use cases in finance operations, with ability to provide specific examples of business value delivered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools and platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Oracle AI DP/Apex) in an enterprise finance context.
  • Familiarity with agentic workflow frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, or similar orchestration tools).
  • Experience implementing AI solutions subject to financial controls and SOX requirements, including understanding explainability and auditability needs.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based AI/data platform capabilities and enterprise integration patterns.
  • PeopleSoft or Oracle certification/accreditation.
  • Change management or transformation leadership experience, particularly in introducing AI/automation capabilities to finance operations teams.
