Equity/Investment Research Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

Overview

This is a fully remote contractor role for Equity research Experts. Candidates may be based in 55 countries, including United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, India, France, Netherlands, and Singapore.

Pay: $175–$300/hr

The project focuses on advanced financial analysis, modeling, and sector insights to help train next-generation AI systems. No prior experience in AI is required—domain expertise is the primary requirement.

Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and contribute to datasets used for modeling real-world equity research analysis, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Analyze earnings reports, perform estimate revisions, and synthesize peer benchmarking insights for AI training purposes.
• Deliver detailed written evaluations of company models, including revenue, margin, cash flow, and valuation drivers.
• Produce high-quality, concise written research summaries and event-driven updates based on deep sector expertise.
• Develop and articulate investment theses, connecting qualitative and quantitative factors to actionable perspectives.
• Identify key industry trends, sector-specific metrics, and company catalysts relevant for fundamental analysis.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to provide feedback on data quality and enhance research-related content.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a sell-side Research Associate with direct ownership of company models and written research, or as a publishing/lead Research Analyst (titles may include VP or Director).
• Track record of independently covering multiple companies across several earnings cycles while maintaining comprehensive models.
• Proven ability to connect business drivers to financial outcomes and valuation.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one sector (e.g., banks, insurance, biotech), with the ability to provide deep, specialist insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
• Experience conducting granular earnings analysis, peer benchmarking, valuation, and event-driven research updates.
• Experience formulating and defending investment theses and research views, with accountability for research accuracy and quality.
