Overview
This role involves serving as a Financial Analyst focused primarily on credit products within a fast-moving consumer fintech environment. The position requires developing robust financial analyses, forecasts, and budgets to support business objectives, tracking performance, and delivering timely, data-driven insights to business partners.
Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and maintain complex financial models using Google Sheets and Excel
- Gather business inputs to develop forecasts and budgets
- Analyze assumptions and outputs to provide insights on expected business trends and performance
- Prepare clear materials for business partners and executive audiences
- Develop, build, and automate actionable management reports
- Coordinate variance analysis and create materials to provide insights
- Partner with analytics and other finance teams for key performance tracking and analysis
- Conduct ad hoc analyses supporting new product development, pricing, revenue strategies, and expense efficiency
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate finance and accounting processes
- Collaborate on initiatives such as process improvement, system enhancements, and data governance
Requirements
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, FP&A, banking, or related fields
- Experience with financial services, particularly consumer credit products, is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel
- Strong proficiency in SQL and strong analytical skills
- Effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills for data presentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and business judgment to design meaningful analyses and translate results into actionable insights
- Ownership mentality with a bias toward taking action
- Fluent in English
