Finance & Accounting Analyst (Remote in CA)

Overview

A remote Finance & Accounting Associate Analyst position is available to support key financial operations and reporting activities. This role involves assisting with financial reporting, forecasting, billing, reconciliations, expense tracking, and month-end finance processes while collaborating with Corporate Finance, Project Management, and other cross-functional teams.

California state residency is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly project financial reports and submit them to Corporate Finance.
• Track financial status by monitoring variances from forecasts.
• Organize monthly Finance Calendar activities.
• Prepare monthly accruals for submission to Corporate Finance.
• Create client billings and assist the administrative team with monthly distribution.
• Monitor fulfillment expenses against forecast assumptions.
• Review incoming vendor invoices for accuracy, assign appropriate codes, and monitor payment status.
• Perform research and provide additional clarifications as needed.
• Publish monthly Project Financial Dashboard and Labor Reports to Project Management.
• Perform monthly billing and revenue reconciliations.
• Submit Contract Information Forms (CIFs) based on executed agreements and/or amendments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-3 years of relevant professional experience.
• California residency is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Experience with financial auditing.
• Understanding of cost reimbursable contracts and contract closeout processes.
• Strong organizational skills for managing project tracking and progress.
• Data entry experience.
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
• Ability to exercise considerable judgment and initiative.

Home Office Requirements

• Private and secure workspace at home.
• Access to Wi-Fi, LAN (wired connection/ethernet), or both.
• Internet provider with sufficient speed to support multiple users without latency or lag.
• Minimum internet speeds: 25 Mbps download (single user) / 50 Mbps download (shared) and 5 Mbps upload (10 Mbps preferred).

• Salary range: $70,304.00 to $75,000.00 annually.
