Finance Lead

Overview

The organization is seeking a Finance Lead to oversee regional accounting for the Americas, reporting to the regional Controller. This role operates within a newly structured global finance function, where shared services (accounts payable, billing, and payroll) are centralized separately.

This position ensures an efficient and accurate month-end close process while serving as a strategic business partner to the region.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the regional accounting team in daily operations, including:
  • Month-end close
  • Regional ledger maintenance
  • Journal entries
  • Account reconciliations
  • Accruals, prepayments, and asset accounting
• Lead a timely and accurate month-end close within a 3 to 5 day cycle
• Own the regional internal control framework and ensure controls are operating effectively
• Partner with shared services teams at month end to ensure the accuracy of:
  • Revenue and expense accruals
  • Payroll
• Oversee the calculation, posting, and verification of financial data used to maintain accounting and statistical records
• Ensure analysis and reporting are accurate and prepared in compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Report monthly results against budget and forecast
• Own the regional statutory accounts
• Establish and implement productivity and quality standards
• Support integration activity as the business grows through acquisitions, including onboarding of new vendors and customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Solid experience managing month-end close, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and asset accounting
• Experience supervising accounting staff
• Working knowledge of internal controls and regional statutory reporting
• Experience reporting results against budget and forecast
• Exposure to acquisitions or integration activity is a plus
• Based in Wisconsin, Florida, or Texas
