Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and other business units on financial planning and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Accounting on month-end close processes and accounting policies.
  • Align with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent company-wide planning.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for key functions, with an emphasis on Research and Development (R&D).
  • Translate technical roadmaps into financial plans in collaboration with Engineering and Product leaders.
  • Develop and monitor financial and operational metrics.
  • Evaluate new product and infrastructure investments through financial modeling.
  • Support resource prioritization across initiatives.
  • Conduct scenario analyses to balance growth, cost, and efficiency.
  • Lead budgeting cycles and update forecasts regularly.
  • Analyze variances and provide insights for cost management.
  • Build scalable financial processes, reporting frameworks, and dashboards.
  • Enhance financial visibility and automation within FP&A systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), strategic finance, investment banking, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related disciplines; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
  • Experience supporting technical or business functions such as Engineering, Product, or R&D.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of software development cost capitalization is a plus.
  • Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Pigment) and data tools.
  • Advanced expertise in Excel.

Compensation

  • Tier 1 locations (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, Seattle): $139,290 – $174,110
  • Tier 2 locations (most U.S. metro areas): $121,120 – $154,400

Final compensation will depend on experience, scope, and level.
