Overview

The Finance Officer role involves providing essential administrative support to the Finance team, focusing on daily financial operations across global regions. This position handles end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing, daily reconciliations, prepayment journal entries, and supports month-end accrual activities to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant financial records across all systems.
  • Collaborate with team members and external partners to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices efficiently, including proper coding, verification, and timely updates.
  • Facilitate new supplier onboarding by collecting vendor documentation and setting up profiles.
  • Calculate and apply landed costs for freight and duties to maintain accurate inventory valuations.
  • Manage pre-payment processing records and create journal entries for prepaid expenses.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of e-commerce payments, ensuring alignment between payouts, payment gateways, bank deposits, and ERP transactions.
  • Monitor and investigate reconciliation exceptions, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage the wholesale debtors ledger by following up on outstanding customer accounts and reducing overdue balances.
  • Process credit card payments securely and accurately for wholesale customer orders.
  • Support the Finance Manager during month-end close by processing accruals and preparing supporting documentation.
  • Complete general financial administrative tasks and ad-hoc assignments as directed.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of professional experience in finance administration, with hands-on experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal colleagues and external customers.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to investigating data variances, resolving system discrepancies, and following processes through to completion.
