Overview

This Analyst role supports the effectiveness of AP/AR operations by ensuring accurate data, performing key accounting and reconciliation tasks, and monitoring performance metrics. The position helps identify process risks and improvement opportunities, supports timely posting of accruals and journal entries, and prepares financial reports to enable informed decision-making. Collaboration with leadership and technical teams is central to enhancing systems and processes, maintaining compliance with audit and SOX requirements, and sustaining consistent, high-quality execution across financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Extract data from primary and secondary sources using available tools, removing corrupted data and fixing errors and related problems, including managing escalations for internal and external partners.
  • Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets to guide decision-making and provide key insights.
  • Deliver, track, and measure Key Performance Indicators (efficiency, quality, performance, and cost-to-serve), benchmarking against best-in-class standards. Communicate insights with leadership that impact SLA achievement, productivity, and staffing levels.
  • Review assigned business processes end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks. Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Post appropriate accruals, complete journal entries, reconcile and review assigned accounts, perform period account reconciliations, evaluate and coordinate accounting matters with other departments and locations, and prepare complex financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with leadership, stakeholders, and technical resources (e.g., engineers, programmers, and PMs) to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements by monitoring completeness and on-time execution of deliverables (including SOX and external auditors).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in analysis, preferably within Accounts Receivable or Payable.
  • Macro automation and Microsoft Power Business Intelligence.
  • SQL programming.
  • Six Sigma/Lean process improvement.
  • System implementation preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Advanced understanding of accounting, reconciliations, and back-office administration functions.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Access, PowerPoint, and expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPivot/PBI.
  • Sound decision-making within the appropriate level of authority and adherence to company policy.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization, verbally and in writing.
  • Administrative skills with strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing workload in a fast-paced office environment to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform account research and reconciliations to resolve disputes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships across internal departments to resolve issues quickly.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Work Environment

  • Remote role: Perform remote work from your primary residence. Remote associates may work from the office but are not required to do so. While not required to work from an office regularly, you may be required to come to the office or other locations for necessary business reasons or if directed by your manager.
  • Travel (minor): May require travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or business reasons.

Physical Environment / Demands

  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
  • May sit for long periods at a desk or computer terminal.
  • Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • May use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required.
