Overview
This role involves leveraging deep financial modeling expertise to audit, refine, and improve AI-generated financial modeling tasks. The goal is to ensure these tasks accurately reflect how professional analysts work. The position requires reviewing AI task instructions and scoring rubrics, then editing Markdown files and Python scripts via Pull Requests to correct logic errors, clarify instructions, and maintain professional standards.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role requiring strong US-based financial knowledge and fluency with American financial terminology and conventions.

Responsibilities
- Audit AI-generated financial modeling tasks to verify they replicate professional analyst workflows accurately
- Validate task instructions and scoring rubrics for logical consistency, completeness, and real-world applicability
- Edit Markdown files and Python scripts directly through Pull Requests to fix logic errors, remove ambiguity, and improve clarity
- Assess AI outputs for correct application of concepts such as DCF analysis, P&L interpretation, financial statement modeling, and valuation techniques
- Provide clear, structured feedback based on professional financial expertise
- Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team using GitHub workflows
- Manage task-based assignments independently, working at your own pace and schedule
Requirements
- Extensive subject matter expertise in finance, with experience as an analyst, in investment banking, corporate finance, equity research, FP&A, or a related field
- Strong command of US-based financial terminology and frameworks (e.g., DCF, P&L, balance sheet analysis, WACC, comparable company analysis)
- Proficiency in Python, including reading, writing, and debugging scripts for financial calculations
- Experience with GitHub, including cloning repositories, creating branches, and submitting Pull Requests independently
- Comfortable editing Markdown for technical documentation
- Detail-oriented with a systematic, quality-driven approach to reviewing work
- Clear and precise written communication skills to articulate issues and solutions effectively
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA, CPA, or MBA with a finance concentration
- Professional experience building financial models in Excel or Python for deal evaluation, forecasting, or valuation
- Background in teaching, mentoring, or creating training materials for financial concepts
- Familiarity with AI/ML evaluation workflows or data annotation projects
- Experience writing or reviewing technical rubrics or assessment criteria
