Financial Analyst

Overview

This full-time, entry-level Financial Analyst role is a remote position for candidates located in the United States. The position supports recurring financial reporting and helps answer questions about revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and operating performance.

Responsibilities

• Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
• Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
• Help improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
• Compare actual results with budgets, forecasts, and prior periods and explain meaningful variances.
• Perform variance analysis beyond identifying whether numbers are higher or lower by identifying drivers and assessing whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or in need of further review.
• Ensure financial models and schedules remain understandable after the immediate task by using clear labels, documented assumptions, reasonable checks, and organized formulas.

Requirements

• Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
• Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing an analysis.
• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.

Compensation & Benefits
