Overview

This role supports finance and operations teams by gathering, validating, organizing, and maintaining reliable data used for reporting and decision-making. The analyst will focus on data extraction, data governance, and foundational finance knowledge, working with information from multiple systems and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, clean, and organize data from ERP, finance, operational, and reporting systems.
  • Validate data accuracy and completeness before it is used in reports, dashboards, or analysis.
  • Reconcile data between source systems and official reporting outputs to identify gaps, timing differences, or inconsistencies.
  • Support data governance practices, including documentation, standard definitions, validation checks, and consistent reporting logic.
  • Maintain organized files, data logs, templates, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in identifying process improvements related to data collection, reporting, and data quality.
  • Apply basic finance and accounting knowledge when reviewing financial and operational datasets.
  • Communicate clearly with finance, operations, project, and reporting teams to resolve data questions.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work with confidential financial and operational information.
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts, including budgets, actuals, accounting mapping for reporting, basic accounting principles, and financial reporting structures.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Basic finance or accounting knowledge.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, ERP systems, or reporting platforms.
  • Experience working with structured financial or operational data.
  • Preferred experience in power, utilities, energy infrastructure, construction, or field-services environments—especially where financial data is connected to projects, crews, labor, equipment, or subcontractor activity.
