Financial Analyst

Overview

A leading diversified financial services organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Retail Bank Finance Team. This role involves performing comprehensive financial analysis, preparing detailed reports, and providing strategic insights to support business decision-making. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial models that drive performance and efficiency. The analyst will contribute to executive-level presentations and strategic planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management to ensure accurate and timely financial insights.
• Collaborate with system analysts to develop and maintain financial models and systems supporting ongoing analysis and reporting needs.
• Coordinate with financial analysts across departments to gather, verify, and synthesize data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Create and deliver business presentations to communicate analysis results clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates to management and business partners on project statuses, financial performance, and key insights.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, offering strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
• Continuously evaluate existing processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and proactive financial management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience with a minimum of two years in financial analysis and financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.
• Three or more years of relevant experience with advanced financial modeling skills.
