Overview
The organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to support growth and operational excellence through project-level financial planning, analysis, and revenue assurance. This role serves as a key liaison between Finance, Project Management, and Senior Leadership, overseeing project forecasting, budget creation, budget vs. actuals performance, and contractual billing integrity.
Through regular project reviews, coordination on out-of-scope pricing, and proactive risk escalation, the Financial Analyst helps ensure financial accuracy and identifies potential contract issues. By providing actionable insights, maintaining rigorous data standards, and partnering closely with project teams, the role supports informed leadership decision-making, helps protect project margins, and contributes to long-term business success.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis, review budget vs. actuals reports, and revise project forecasts
- Conduct monthly project reviews with Project Management to ensure consistent and accurate project data, identify potential contract issues, and address additional contract scope
- Conduct monthly project reviews with Senior Management to provide an up-to-date financial overview and escalate potential issues that require Senior Management involvement
- Work with Project Management to price services out of contract scope and coordinate review and approval with Senior Management
- Review and ensure accurate monthly client billings in accordance with contract terms
- Support departmental cost accounting
- Review collections issues and escalate as necessary
- Assist with creation of project budgets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2+ years of experience in corporate or project finance
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis
- Thorough understanding of project management
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Percent Complete accounting
