Overview

This role involves financial analysis and modeling to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making. You will combine spreadsheet work with careful review of assumptions, variances, and financial trends—helping stakeholders understand both what changed and why it may matter.

The position includes routine reporting aligned to regular financial cycles, as well as forward-looking analysis such as scenario comparisons, variance investigation, and connecting financial results to the operating activity behind them.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
  • Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
  • Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
  • Help improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
  • Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.

Requirements

  • Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain drivers behind a financial change.
  • Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing an analysis.
  • Organized documentation habits with an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
  • Comfort learning reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes used by the organization.

Financial models and schedules must remain understandable after the immediate task is complete. Clear labels, documented assumptions, reasonable checks, and organized formulas should help ensure work is reviewable and reduces the chance that future updates introduce unnoticed errors.
