Overview
This role involves performing tracking, reporting, and analysis of financial information, including financial reporting, budget and forecast creation, and variance analysis. There are two levels available: Financial Analyst I and Financial Analyst II.
Responsibilities
Financial Analyst I
- Assist with collecting and analyzing financial data for budget development, variance reporting, internal and external reports, and identifying data issues.
- Analyze financial data to identify adverse trends and recommend solutions to mitigate financial impact.
- Apply knowledge of financial rules, concepts, and company policies to resolve common issues.
- Support the annual budget process and current year and five-year forecasting.
- Provide timely and accurate assistance to clients within supported business areas, including interpretation of account codes, financial reports, project status reports, and work order resolution.
Financial Analyst II
- Collect and analyze financial data for budget development, variance reporting, and preparation of reporting packages.
- Assist budget managers with the annual budget process, modeling, analysis, and financial support for current year and five-year forecasting.
- Document key processes to ensure consistency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with building rate case information and regulatory support as required.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Financial Analyst I
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Completion of finance or accounting internship preferred.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem solving, customer service, and relationship building desired.
Financial Analyst II
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field, or equivalent education and experience.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in general financial accounting or analysis.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem solving, customer service, and relationship building desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Compensation & Benefits
- Financial Analyst I salary range: $58,700 to $79,767 per year.
- Financial Analyst II salary range: $64,100 to $84,250 per year.

- The anticipated starting base pay for this position ranges from $58,700 to $84,250 annually depending on level.
