Financial Analyst

Overview

This role is for a Financial Analyst with the organization. The position is Remote - United States and Full Time.

Salary: $70,000-$78,000 per year

In this role, you will organize financial information into clear views of actual performance, expected results, and the factors driving differences between plans and outcomes. Accuracy and clear communication are important throughout the work.

Assignments may include:

• Updating a forecast
• Reviewing actual results against a budget
• Preparing management reports
• Testing how changes in assumptions could affect expected outcomes

Responsibilities

• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
• Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
• Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
• Compare actual financial results with budgets, forecasts, and prior periods and explain meaningful variances.

Requirements

• Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
• Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
• Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
