Financial Analyst

Overview

This Financial Analyst role supports reliable financial analysis that informs planning and decision-making. You will maintain reporting, compare actual performance to expectations, and help communicate key performance drivers.

Analysis often begins with variance between plan and actual results. You will identify which accounts or operating factors contributed to movement, verify underlying information, and present findings with appropriate context.

Responsibilities

• Improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
• Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
• Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
• Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
• Go beyond stating variances are higher or lower by identifying operational or financial drivers behind the movement (where information allows) and explaining whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or require further review.

• Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
• Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
• Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
• Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
• Ability to identify what changed, understand the assumptions behind results, and communicate implications without overstating what the information can prove.
