Financial Analyst

Overview

This role supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of business performance. You’ll work with financial information and explain what the numbers mean in practical terms, including variance drivers and whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or require further review.

This is a full-time, entry-level remote position for candidates located in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
• Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
• Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
• Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
• Ensure financial models and schedules remain understandable after the immediate task is complete (clear labels, documented assumptions, reasonable checks, and organized formulas).

Qualifications

• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
• Clear written communication and the ability to summarize financial information for non-specialist stakeholders.
• Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
• Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
• Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain the drivers behind a financial change.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $69,000–$77,000 per year
