Overview
A software company specializing in digital work execution platforms for manufacturing businesses is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. This role supports the Process Manufacturing and Discrete Manufacturing business units by providing financial analysis, reporting, and insights to assist leadership in decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Support the annual budget and in-year forecast processes for Process and Discrete Manufacturing business units, including building and maintaining financial models and gathering inputs.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages featuring plan-vs-actual variance analysis, business trend commentary, and executive summaries.
- Develop analysis, commentary, and presentation materials for quarterly meetings, operations reviews, and management reviews with business unit leadership.
- Perform recurring FP&A functions such as monthly close P&L analysis, trend analysis, and management reporting across functional areas.
- Build financial models and conduct ad hoc analyses for special projects including pricing, investment cases, and scenario planning.
- Investigate data anomalies and provide clear, actionable analysis.
- Take ownership of key reports and processes, and develop new ones to meet evolving business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of corporate financial analysis experience, including FP&A exposure with preparation, distribution, and analysis of monthly financial reporting and key financial metrics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with finance peers and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of preparing clear, executive-level commentary and presentation materials.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the software industry.
- Familiarity with FP&A planning tools.
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience or willingness to learn and apply AI tools to enhance analytical work.
- Ability to express ideas clearly, challenge assumptions, and provide financial insights.
- Enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
