Overview

This role is for a Financial Analyst supporting financial reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis. The position is remote within the United States and is full time.

  • Location: Remote - United States
  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Salary: $72,000-$80,000 per year

The work focuses on organizing financial information into useful views of actual performance, expected results, and the factors driving differences between plans and outcomes. Accuracy and clear communication are required throughout.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
  • Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
  • Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
  • Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.

Qualifications

  • Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
  • Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing an analysis.
  • Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.

Forecasting involves uncertainty; assumptions should be visible rather than hidden inside calculations. Comfort presenting alternative scenarios is important, particularly when outcomes depend on variables that may change.

Beyond model building, the role requires identifying what changed, understanding the assumptions behind the result, and communicating implications without overstating what the information can prove.
