Overview
A financial services organization is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join their Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This role focuses on managing and analyzing operating expenses to support strategic decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze all operating expenses regularly, ensuring accurate and timely booking of expenses and invoice approvals.
- Prepare accurate journal entries for month-end close.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of operating expenses to identify key cost drivers and trends.
- Prepare comprehensive expense reports with variance analysis, highlighting areas of concern and potential cost-saving initiatives.
- Utilize financial systems to streamline financial report preparation.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process by providing input on expected operating expenses.
- Review and update forecast projections regularly based on changing business conditions.
- Prepare presentations for business partners that highlight key financial metrics and actionable recommendations.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships within the organization.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- MBA (preferred).
- CPA, CFA, or CMA certification (preferred).
Experience
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in financial result preparation, interpretation, and analysis, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of data structure and system design concepts.
- Experience with query and analysis tools.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with expense management is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $76,250.00 - $111,500.00, based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.
- Eligibility for an annual incentive bonus plan.
