Overview

A growing identity platform company is seeking a technical, resourceful, and strategic individual to join their Finance team. This role focuses on the intersection of finance and Go To Market (GTM) operations, working closely with finance, sales, and post-sales leadership to build, manage, update, and explain compensation structures internally. The position involves handling sensitive data critical to shaping incentives that support the organization's growth.

This is a high-trust role reporting directly to the VP of Finance. The company has offices in San Francisco and New York City but is open to remote candidates based in the United States or Canada on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain incentive pay models for Sales and Post-Sales teams.
  • Track performance against compensation plans, ensuring data accuracy, timely updates, and thorough documentation.
  • Own end-to-end recurring compensation review cycles, including validating data integrity, calculating attainment, and ensuring accurate and timely payouts.
  • Coordinate with and manage external compensation consultants to maintain system configuration, data synchronization, and deliverable timelines.
  • Serve as the primary contact for questions regarding pay, attainment, and plan mechanics; triage inquiries promptly, troubleshoot discrepancies, and support leadership with ad-hoc analyses as plans evolve.
  • Oversee project timelines and deliverables for external partners to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements

  • 1-6 years of experience in finance, operations, accounting, or a related analytical role.
  • High proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, capable of building complex models, handling messy data, and structuring scalable, auditable systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and the ability to double-check work to prevent errors.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive compensation data.
  • Ability to communicate calmly and professionally when addressing questions from team members.
  • Interest in understanding the product and the problems it solves for customers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $80,000 – $130,000 (subject to factors such as experience and qualifications).
