Overview

This full-time, entry-level remote role supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of business performance. The work focuses on producing accurate, well-documented financial analysis and clearly communicating what the numbers mean in practical terms.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
  • Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
  • Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
  • Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
  • Conduct variance analysis that goes beyond stating increases/decreases; identify operational or financial drivers behind movement where the information allows and explain whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or in need of further review.

Requirements

  • Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
  • Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
  • Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
  • Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
  • Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
