Overview

This role supports recurring financial reporting and helps answer questions about revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and operating performance. The position is entry-level with meaningful analytical responsibility.

The work includes variance analysis that goes beyond noting whether a number is higher or lower. Where information allows, you will help identify the operational or financial drivers behind changes and explain whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or in need of further review.

Assignments may include updating a forecast, reviewing actual results against a budget, preparing a management report, or testing how changes in assumptions could affect expected outcomes. You will organize inputs, check calculations, and summarize the most meaningful drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
  • Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
  • Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
  • Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
  • Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.

Requirements

  • Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
  • Comfort learning reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
  • Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain drivers behind financial changes.
  • Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
  • Ability to make forecasting assumptions visible (rather than hidden in calculations) and present alternative scenarios when a single estimate may imply false precision.
  • Professional communication, responsible time management, and consistent ownership of assigned work from request through completion.
