Financial Analyst

Overview

This full-time, remote Financial Analyst role is based in the United States. The position combines spreadsheet-based analysis with careful review of assumptions, variances, and financial trends to help stakeholders understand both what changed and why it matters.

Responsibilities

• Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
• Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
• Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
• Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
• Present alternative scenarios when forecasting uncertainty makes a single estimate potentially misleading.
• Identify inconsistent inputs, resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues when needed.

Requirements

• Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain the drivers behind financial changes.
• Strong numerical reasoning and attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
• Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing analysis.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
• Ability to complete assigned responsibilities independently while asking timely questions when clarification is needed.

Compensation & Benefits
