Financial Analyst

Overview

This role is for a Financial Analyst to support routine reporting and forward-looking analysis. You will combine spreadsheet work with careful review of assumptions, variances, and financial trends, helping stakeholders understand both what changed and why it may matter.

Financial models and schedules should remain understandable after the immediate task is complete, with clear labels, documented assumptions, reasonable checks, and organized formulas to reduce the chance that future updates introduce unnoticed errors.

Responsibilities

• Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
• Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
• Help improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
• Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
• Compare actual financial results with budgets, forecasts, and prior periods and explain meaningful variances.

Requirements

• Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
• Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
• Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain the drivers behind a financial change.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $66,000-$74,000 per year
