Overview
This role is open to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. The position is primarily on-site unless otherwise specified.
Responsibilities
- Analyze costs and prepare financial reports with recommendations for leadership according to established policies and methodologies.
- Prepare journal entries and analyses as part of the month-end close process, meeting monthly deadlines.
- Analyze complex financial information and provide timely recommendations to management for decision-making.
- Develop sophisticated financial models and provide recommendations based on financial trends and forecasts.
- Evaluate and monitor program efficiency and performance to ensure execution aligns with targets.
- Manage dashboard reporting by tracking monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and expenses.
- Understand the operating infrastructure of Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to proactively identify cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities.
- Review historical operating results and analyze potential revenue enhancement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform pro forma financial and operating analyses to support proposals.
- Review and understand fluctuations in cost of care across SBUs, differentiating impacts of rate versus utilization variations.
- Support SBUs by providing information, responding to questions, and resolving complex issues.
- If supporting Medicare Part D, implement CMS requirements related to direct and indirect plan remuneration, plan-to-plan reconciliation, monthly membership reports, coverage gap discount program, medical loss ratio reporting, fiscal soundness reporting, audit assistance, and analysis of drug utilization and cost trends.
- Participate in other special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Understanding of the financial structure and business practices of the managed care industry.
- Strong PC skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Hyperion Essbase or other large enterprise financial software.
- Ability to understand and analyze complex data sets and translate them into actionable analysis.
- Experience in finance is required.

- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $64,285 to $102,855 annually.
