Overview

This Financial Analyst role focuses on producing dependable financial analysis that supports planning and informed decision-making. You will maintain reporting, compare actuals with expectations, and help communicate the key performance drivers behind results.

Variance analysis in this role goes beyond noting whether a number is higher or lower. Where the information allows, you will identify the operational or financial drivers behind the movement and explain whether the difference appears temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or in need of further review.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
  • Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
  • Help improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
  • Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
  • Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
  • Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain drivers behind a financial change.
  • Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
  • Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
  • Financial models and schedules must remain understandable after the immediate task is complete, with clear labels, documented assumptions, reasonable checks, and organized formulas.
