Overview
This entry-level Financial Analyst role supports recurring financial reporting and helps answer questions related to revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and operating performance. The position is full-time and remote, located in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
- Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
- Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
- Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
- Compare actual financial results with budgets, forecasts, and prior periods and explain meaningful variances.
- Help improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
- Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
- Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain the drivers behind a financial change.
- Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
- Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
- Forecasting requires visibility of assumptions rather than hidden calculations; ability to present alternative scenarios when a single estimate could create a false sense of precision.
