Overview

The organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of business performance. This role combines routine financial reporting with forward-looking analysis, translating financial data into practical, decision-ready insights.

• Salary: $71,000–$79,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
• Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
• Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
• Improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
• Present alternative scenarios when uncertainty exists, ensuring assumptions remain visible rather than hidden inside calculations.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to learn company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
• Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
• Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain the drivers behind financial changes.
• Strong remote-work capability, including steady follow-through, organized communication, and the ability to complete assigned responsibilities independently while asking timely questions when clarification is needed.
