Financial Analyst

Overview

This role involves supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business performance analysis. Work includes both routine financial cycle reporting and forward-looking analysis such as scenario comparisons, variance investigation, and connecting financial results to underlying operating activity.

Responsibilities

• Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
• Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods to keep work understandable and reusable.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
• Conduct trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.

Qualifications

• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
• Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing an analysis.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
• Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
• Strong emphasis on producing financial models and schedules that remain understandable after the immediate task is complete (e.g., clear labels, documented assumptions, reasonable checks, organized formulas).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $72,000–$80,000 per year
