Overview
A leading financial institution in Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their team. This role involves analyzing complex data sets, extracting relevant information, and interpreting data to identify past performance trends and project future developments. Responsibilities
- Analyze data reports to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to banking operations and financial performance.
- Perform moderately complex statistical analyses using data from various banking and financial systems.
- Develop comprehensive reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Utilize software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics tools to assemble, manipulate, and format data and reports.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to provide data-driven insights and support decision-making.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure accuracy in all reports and analyses.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support analytical and operational objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, statistical packages (e.g., SAS, R, or SPSS), and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of banking operations and financial systems is a plus.
