Overview

A leading financial institution in Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their team. This role involves analyzing complex data sets, extracting relevant information, and interpreting data to identify past performance trends and project future developments. The insights provided will support strategic decision-making and contribute to the organization's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data reports to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to banking operations and financial performance.
  • Perform moderately complex statistical analyses using data from various banking and financial systems.
  • Develop comprehensive reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics tools to assemble, manipulate, and format data and reports.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to provide data-driven insights and support decision-making.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure accuracy in all reports and analyses.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support analytical and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, statistical packages (e.g., SAS, R, or SPSS), and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of banking operations and financial systems is a plus.
