Financial Analyst

Overview

This role is a Financial Analyst position with a remote-first setup across the United States. The position is full-time and offers a salary of $70,000-$78,000 per year.

You’ll combine strong spreadsheet skills with careful review of assumptions, variances, and financial trends—helping stakeholders understand both what changed and why it matters. The work includes routine reporting as well as forward-looking analysis, such as scenario comparisons, variance investigation, and connecting financial results to underlying operational activity.

Responsibilities

• Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
• Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to evaluate how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
• Compare actual financial results with budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, explaining meaningful variances.
• Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
• Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.

Requirements

• Ability to learn and apply company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
• Clear written communication skills, including the ability to summarize financial information for non-specialist stakeholders.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating using digital tools in a remote environment.
• Willingness to challenge inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing analysis.
