Overview

This role supports Strategic Finance as part of a small, high-leverage finance business partnering team. The position partners with leaders of major business functions on decisions that matter—how fast to grow, where to invest, what a plan should look like, and whether it is working.

You will work closely with a senior team member to build models and reporting that business partners rely on, with early exposure to functional leaders and the executive team. Team organization includes go-to-market finance, corporate finance, and functional business partnering across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the models that drive planning for your assigned area, including headcount, capacity, and spend.
  • Own recurring reporting and monthly variance analysis; write the first draft of the story behind the numbers.
  • Partner with the business on spend tracking and review, and flag what looks off before others find it.
  • Build metrics and dashboards to measure whether functions are becoming more efficient.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis for the executive team as needed.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Roughly 1 to 3 years in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, data analysis, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Strong Excel and financial fundamentals, including the ability to sanity check your own output.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to explain numbers to people who do not work in finance.
  • High learning velocity (“high slope”).
  • Comfort with automating repeatable parts of the job.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, or SQL is a plus (and support is available if you have the instinct but haven’t used the tools).
  • Meaningful overlap with Pacific time, as the team sits on the West Coast.
  • Open to occasional travel for team and company onsite locations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay depends on job-related factors, including location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Base salary hiring range (plus an equity grant):
    • For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington: $80,000 to $110,000 per year plus an equity grant.
    • For roles based in New York: $80,000 to $110,000 per year plus an equity grant.
