Overview

This Financial Analyst role supports business operations that span business consulting, marketing, communications, customer engagement, events, and professional support. Work is financial-focused and analysis-led, with an emphasis on accurate financial records, reconciliation, and exception handling.

A completed work product should clearly show:

  • what source was used
  • what changed
  • what remains open
  • who owns the next action

Decision-making follows a pattern of reconciliation, exception resolution, and variance analysis to determine whether an item can close, needs follow-up, or must move to an authorized owner.

Responsibilities

  • Protect confidential account information; ensure actions remain traceable through the workflow across business consulting, marketing, communications, customer engagement, events, operations, and professional support.
  • Review financial inputs against supporting records, maintaining traceability within the workflow.
  • Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing, ensuring work is traceable and ready for next steps.
  • Track unresolved financial exceptions and maintain visibility into ownership.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure documentation supports traceability and verification of work status.

Success Standard

Success means accurate financial records, reconciliation, and exception handling remain usable under ongoing operational demands. Repeated errors should become visible, exceptions should have owners, and another authorized teammate should be able to verify the state of work without reconstructing its history.

Role Fit / Skills in Use

  • Confidently use invoice review and apply data accuracy while maintaining evidence, owners, and deadlines.
  • Document financial reporting decisions clearly enough for another teammate to follow the reasoning.
  • Use sound judgment around record maintenance, especially when escalation is needed rather than assumption.
