Overview
This role is for a Financial Lead (Financial Analyst Staff) supporting the Persistent Discrimination Radar (PDR) contract within the Missile Defense & Space Surveillance (MD&SS) portfolio. The position involves leading all financial activities related to the PDR contract, ensuring the financial health and performance of the program through developing baselines, forecasts, and performance analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial activities for the PDR contract, including cost management and financial analysis
- Develop and maintain performance baselines and financial forecasts
- Analyze program performance metrics to identify trends or variances
- Establish and report funding requirements to internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and support the Finance Manager in financial planning and reporting
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) on designated Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) to monitor project performance
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports for customers and internal leadership
- Manage risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle to meet financial objectives
- Support development of cost estimates and financial strategies for program growth and sustainability
- Contribute to continuous process improvements in financial management practices
Requirements
- Experience with P2P Process (PR/PO processing & approval)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Power Query, and Tableau
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance
- Experience managing large, complex programs with significant material content
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
- Aptitude for facilitating results with a self-starter attitude and structured problem-solving approach
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and their application
- Experience with EVM tools and systems such as Cobra, wInsight, Open Plan, PM Compass, and WAD tool
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
