Overview

A Florida Benefit Corporation and FDIC-insured commercial bank is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support its financial strategy and decision-making processes. The organization offers a full suite of personal and business banking services, including solar, residential, commercial, ESOP banking, structured finance, and SBA loans, with a focus on sustainability and ethical banking. The bank operates branches in St. Petersburg, Winter Park, Mount Dora, and maintains a growing digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports analyzing variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, coordinating with business units, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and cost management projects.
  • Monitor and report on the bank’s financial performance against targets, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand business drivers, risks, and opportunities, providing financial guidance as needed.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles; experience within banking or financial services is a strong plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems is a strong plus.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter mentality with a focus on delivering measurable results and operational efficiencies.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of financial products, services, regulations, and laws relevant to banking and fintech.
