Overview

A fast-growing provider of sustainable data centers and energy infrastructure is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their expanding finance team. The organization operates a global network of ultra-efficient, AI-ready data centers featuring waterless cooling technology for colocation, hyperscale, and build-to-suit customers. Their infrastructure platform integrates renewable microgrid systems, ultra-clean generators, and waste-to-fuel solutions, with multiple data centers currently operating or under construction across Europe and North America.

This role offers high visibility and meaningful exposure to senior leadership, with broad opportunities for growth as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly financial close and reporting processes, including data extraction, actuals compilation, and presentation updates across multiple departments and operating units
  • Perform vendor and invoice analysis to explain variances and support cost management decisions, including spend reconciliation by category and supplier
  • Maintain and update financial reporting templates and PowerPoint presentations as actuals and forecasts are refreshed
  • Validate headcount rosters and position data against HR systems to ensure accuracy of budget and forecast inputs across multiple scenarios
  • Support the annual budget process by managing template population, assumption tracking, submission consolidation, and prior year actuals reference packages across departments
  • Assist in maintaining chart of accounts mapping and cost center documentation
  • Execute clearly defined, repeatable financial workflows with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Identify and escalate data quality issues in source systems and reporting outputs with clear documentation
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by the FP&A team

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Excel, including lookup functions (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), pivot tables, and data cleaning across multiple source files
  • Foundational understanding of GAAP accounting principles such as accruals, prepaids, amortization, and capital vs. operating expense classification, with ability to apply these in financial planning and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, version control, and clean documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills to flag issues and summarize findings concisely
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to follow established processes independently and proactively identify discrepancies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or exposure to capital-intensive industries, real estate, infrastructure, or project-based accounting environments
  • Prior experience supporting budgeting or forecasting processes
  • Familiarity with ERP or financial reporting systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
  • 1-3 years of FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting experience; candidates with relevant internship experience and strong accounting coursework will also be considered
