Overview

A finance team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, business intelligence, sales and pipeline analysis, KPI tracking, cash flow forecasting, commission calculations, and ad hoc business analysis across the organization. This fully remote role requires candidates to reside within the United States.

The FP&A Analyst will report directly to the FP&A Manager and collaborate closely with the VP of Finance. This position offers broad exposure to executive reporting, sales, operations, service delivery, implementation, accounting, and business performance management within a small, high-impact team.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain dashboards, reporting structures, data mapping, and business intelligence reporting within Datarails to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
  • Participate regularly in budgeting and forecasting models and underlying assumptions in coordination with finance leadership.
  • Manage and forecast the company’s 13-week cash flow model to provide visibility into near-term cash expectations and business needs.
  • Conduct detailed financial reporting and variance analysis on key monthly P&L drivers, focusing on KPIs such as customer retention, balance sheet performance, and sales attainment.
  • Oversee sales performance trends, board reporting, pipeline management, commission calculations, and creation/facilitation of quota plan documents (QPDs).
  • Manage order to cash reporting, including auditing closed/won opportunities and tracking sold but not yet implemented orders, with detailed forecasting and collaboration with project management teams.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate with business leaders to support data-driven initiatives and KPI tracking using tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and Halo PSA.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and operational analyses, identify process improvement opportunities, and support special projects as business needs evolve.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, business analytics, sales operations, revenue operations, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong financial analysis, reporting, and modeling skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with recurring reporting, KPI tracking, variance analysis, and business performance metrics.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, competing priorities, and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial and operational information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
  • Must reside within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managed services, technology, telecom, cloud services, cybersecurity, SaaS, or recurring revenue business models.
  • Familiarity with Datarails, Salesforce, Halo, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, AI chat models, or similar systems.
  • Background in data analytics or experience managing, reconciling, and interpreting large data sets.
  • Experience supporting sales analysis, pipeline reporting, sales commissions, quota plan documents, implementation backlog reporting, service delivery KPIs, accounts receivable reporting, cash flow forecasting, or Board-level reporting packages.
  • Understanding of P&L drivers, revenue trends, gross margin, EBITDA, operating expenses, pipeline, backlog, working capital, and operational KPIs.
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, scalable reporting, and business intelligence.

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
