Overview

This role involves supporting the Region's Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) process. The FP&A Analyst will collaborate with regional finance and accounting teams to develop budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting practices. The position also interacts with other departments such as accounting, sales, operations, technology, M&A, and legal to enhance FP&A capabilities and ensure accurate reporting.

Work hours: Candidate must follow Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the business’s fiscal functions and performance
  • Create annual budgets and monitor monthly performance against budgets
  • Input and maintain budgets in the financial system
  • Identify key drivers, opportunities, and risks; update budgets and forecasts accordingly
  • Provide monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to budgeted figures for each reporting unit
  • Analyze and explain year-over-year variations in actual or projected financial results
  • Manage financial statistics for supported locations, including cash & funds rollforward, headcount analysis, and relevant KPIs
  • Track headcount, new hire budgets, and open positions; report trends and forecasts to finance leadership
  • Coordinate with Corporate FP&A on reporting structure changes
  • Support acquisition accounting activities, including due diligence and earn-out analysis
  • Assist with system conversions to integrate acquisitions
  • Support changes in accounting methods related to acquisitions
  • Execute various regional accounting and finance initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; finance or accounting focus preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of finance and accounting experience in a rapidly growing organization
  • Experience in a collaborative, matrixed environment with continuous improvement focus
  • Strong communication skills with ability to professionally present financial information to leadership
  • Ability to learn the business and apply a customer-centric approach to finance and accounting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate complex business issues and propose solutions
  • Well-organized self-starter with strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Excel macros, Power Pivots, and Power Queries is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a corporate or business unit finance organization
  • Insurance brokerage experience is highly preferred but not required
  • Experience handling large data sets is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $50,000 to $65,000, determined by experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level, position scope, and geographic location
