Overview
A growing technology organization is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support financial performance tracking and forecasting. This role involves partnering with budget owners to ensure spending aligns with policies and business objectives, while providing clear financial insights to leadership. Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date rolling financial forecasts incorporating current business assumptions
- Reconcile financial data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Analyze and summarize monthly budget variances by department, identifying key drivers for leadership review
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports
- Assist with ad-hoc financial modeling and analysis projects
- Support business units in developing business cases that quantify expected returns for new spending proposals
- Review purchase requests to ensure alignment with approved budgets and spending policies
- Track and follow up on the return on investment (ROI) of key spending initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 0-3 years of experience as a financial analyst or in a related role
- Experience in the software industry preferred
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in spreadsheet software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of distilling complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
