Overview
A rapidly growing digital marketing and coaching organization serving attorneys nationwide is seeking a Law Firm Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position paying $27 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Manage client trust accounts with meticulous 3-way reconciliation (bank statement, trust ledger, client ledger) to ensure compliance with Bar regulations.
- Process monthly client invoices, track billable hours, and follow up on accounts receivable.
- Handle accounts payable including vendor bills, check requests, and expenses.
- Reconcile bank statements for operating and IOLTA accounts.
- Generate monthly financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for firm partners.
- Process payroll.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero, and legal-specific tools like Clio or TimeSolv.
- Familiarity with IOLTA (Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts) regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
