Head of Finance (all genders)

Overview

The organization is seeking a Head of Finance based in Berlin to start immediately. This role involves leading the finance department, ensuring regulatory and audit readiness, and providing regular reporting and analyses to support cost and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the finance department
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Ensure accounts are kept in accordance with regulations
• Support bookkeeping, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and support internal and external audits
• Prepare regular reports and ad hoc analyses based on cost and performance indicators (e.g., target/actual analyses and productivity analyses)
• Keep specialist knowledge up to date in payment transactions, fintech, and banking
• Oversee cross-border transactions within the EU
• Support fundraising

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration or another relevant qualification
• Several years of relevant professional experience as a manager in the finance sector
• Very good command of English
• Familiarity with the banking or FinTech sector
• Knowledge of relevant tax laws
• Experience with common ERP systems
• Enjoy working as part of a team
