Overview
This role involves assisting clients with a comprehensive range of transfer pricing issues. Responsibilities include designing practical and efficient transfer pricing policies and procedures, preparing compliance documentation for U.S. and foreign jurisdictions, implementing and reviewing transfer pricing processes and controls, strategic policy design, international tax planning, intangibles migration, royalty rate calculations, and cost sharing agreements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client interviews to gather information influencing inter-company transaction pricing.
- Prepare economic analyses related to intercompany transactions by analyzing third-party and client financial data to benchmark appropriate transactions.
- Review third-party agreements and loans.
- Write industry overviews to provide context for a company’s operating environment.
- Participate in and conduct functional interviews with clients; write descriptive functional analyses for transfer pricing reports.
- Organize and summarize client information, take interview notes, and prepare detailed summaries for team members.
- Proofread and edit reports prior to client delivery.
- Write technical memos describing the analytical process.
- Manage deadlines for assigned projects.
- Assist with preparation of internal and external presentations, research and training materials, and knowledge-sharing communications.
- Participate in practice improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of transfer pricing experience with a desire to deepen industry knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Prior exposure to Go Systems, Bloomberg terminal, tax research databases (e.g., Standard and Poor’s or Moody’s products), or other tax-related software is beneficial but not required.
- Exceptional research and technical writing skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills with experience in presentations or public speaking and the ability to communicate professionally with clients.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $88,900 - $128,400, determined by role, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and geographic location.
