Overview
This role supports the investment team across real estate underwriting, financial modeling, market research, transaction execution, and investor reporting. It is a hands-on position focused on analysis of US real estate opportunities, preparation of investment materials, and coordination with investors, lenders, and transaction teams.
Responsibilities
Investment Analysis
- Develop and maintain sophisticated investment models
- Perform sensitivity analysis and interpret results to guide investment decisions
Research & Reporting
- Review and analyze research papers, industry reports, and annual financial statements
- Summarize key findings, trends, and actionable insights to support strategic investment decisions
Investment Presentation
- Create and refine investment decks with clarity, accuracy, and visual appeal
- Participate in calls and meetings with investors and lenders, providing analytical support and insights
Market & Research Support
- Track macro indicators affecting real estate capital markets (interest rates, credit spreads, cap rates by asset class/region)
- Monitor competitor activity, comparable sales, and capital flows across property sectors
- Prepare market update decks for internal strategy discussions and client-facing materials
Transaction Execution
- Support due diligence, including review of leases, title, surveys, environmental reports, and financial statements
- Coordinate with legal, accounting, and property management teams during closing (M&A integration experience preferred)
- Maintain deal trackers/pipelines and manage document flow through data rooms
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience with US commercial real estate markets and transactions
- Exposure to real estate operators, institutional investors, private equity firms, lenders, or capital sources
- Experience in real estate private equity, acquisitions, investment management, or capital markets
- Familiarity with real estate sectors such as multifamily, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, self-storage, or mixed-use
- Experience with real estate valuation methodologies, comparable transactions, and market research
- Experience preparing Investment Committee (IC) memos, investor presentations, and market update decks
- Exposure to M&A, post-acquisition integration, or transaction advisory is a plus
- Familiarity with real estate databases, market intelligence platforms, and virtual data rooms
