Investment Banking Expert - Remote

Overview

This role is a contractor position for an experienced Investment Banking Expert to support a customer project involving financial modeling, valuation, transaction analysis, and industry research.

Work will be performed remotely. The work includes applying investment banking expertise to evaluate real-world financial analysis and help train next-generation AI systems. No prior AI experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company and industry research to support financial analysis and AI training
• Perform target screening, comparable company analysis, and transaction analysis
• Build, review, and troubleshoot Excel-based financial and valuation models
• Prepare and review pitchbooks and client presentation materials
• Analyze financial materials for numerical errors, valuation issues, and logical inconsistencies
• Explain accounting treatments, valuation adjustments, assumptions, and transaction sensitivities
• Provide clear written and verbal explanations of complex financial concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Associate or Vice President in M&A, investment banking, or industry coverage
• Hands-on experience with live acquisition or sale processes
• Strong expertise in Excel financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis
• Experience with company research, target screening, comparable company analysis, and pitchbook preparation
• Ability to review and improve analytical and client-facing materials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
