Overview

This full-time Junior Analyst role supports a live investment research and trading operation that manages its own capital across public markets. Working fully remote on US market hours, you will help keep the desk’s day-to-day market picture current and decision-ready—from pre-market through the close.

You will report to a senior analyst who anchors daily markets coverage, helping digest high volumes of information quickly and turning them into concise outputs the team can act on. Over time, the role is designed to grow from owning the daily market rhythm into deeper research responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-market morning summary: Produce a concise, prioritized, on-time summary the desk uses to start the day.
  • Calendar management: Track earnings and events for names the desk owns and watches, including who reports when (to the minute), how positioning changes, and what matters into the print.
  • Intraday checkpoint notes: Provide ongoing session updates so the desk always has a current read on the tape.
  • Watchlists, screens, and alerts: Maintain watchlists, thematic baskets, and stub positions; set alerts; and build same-day breakdowns and screens when specific questions come up.
  • Ad-hoc desk support: Deliver fast, accurate answers under time constraints, including data pulls, fact-checks, and liquidity and sizing context.
  • AI leverage: Use modern AI tools to widen coverage, summarize at scale, and reduce noise.

Requirements

  • Obsessive interest in markets: Follow earnings season, watch the tape, and read market commentary because of genuine interest.
  • Fast, accurate processing: Take a large flow of data points, rules, and constraints and arrive at the correct answer quickly and completely.
  • Detail orientation: Ensure recurring deliverables are complete, correct, and on time.
  • Clear communication: Compress messy, high-volume information into exactly what others need to know, immediately.
  • Low ego and coachable: Accept feedback well, update quickly as facts change, and focus on getting the answer right.
  • Calm under market speed: Thrive with volume and real-time pressure.
  • Reliability with scheduled deliverables: Work pre-market and follow a set rhythm of checkpoints every day.
  • Signal over noise: Filter rigorously to surface what matters.
  • Accuracy at speed: Maintain precision while operating at the speed of the tape.
  • AI-native workflow comfort: Be fluent with modern AI tools for monitoring, summarizing, and triage.
  • Self-directed remote work: Manage your own time with low guardrails and proactively flag what needs attention.

Core Skills

  • Markets fluency: Working understanding of equities, including tickers, earnings mechanics, analyst ratings, and how news moves prices.
  • Information triage: Rapidly separate what matters from what doesn’t across high-volume news, data, and commentary.
  • Synthesis under time pressure: Produce clean, concise, prioritized briefs quickly.
  • Data work: Build and maintain lists, screens, and breakdowns that answer real questions same-day.
  • Tooling and AI workflows: Use monitoring, alerting, and summarization workflows to cover more ground than one person otherwise could.
